Programs

PEAK welcomes people of all ages and abilities. Learn to row on flat Standley in a sculling boat or oarboard with the help of a certified coach. If indoor exercise and strength-building is more your style, check out our erg programs.

Membership

PEAK members can use all club equipment, including club singles, doubles, oars, slings and pfds. Members often arrange to row together for company. Standley Lake is open from May 1 to Sept 30.

Sculling Refresher

Available to those with prior rowing experience only. Our US Rowing-certified coaches conduct group lessons for members and non-members using PEAK club singles, doubles and/or quad.

Oarboard Lesson

Not quite sure about sculling? Learn to row on a super-stable oarboard with help from a PEAK US Rowing-certified coach. An oarboard may be just your speed, perfect for exploring Standley’s coves, or you may decide to move on to a faster skinny scull. Private lessons are held throughout the summer at Standley.

Learn to Row in the Westminster Pool

Climb into a rowing shell and explore the basics of the stroke from a certified US Rowing instructor.

Private Rowing Machine Session

Don’t want to get your feet wet yet? Arrange for a private assessment on an ergometer from a physical therapist at Blue Sky Physical Therapy.
