Flat Standley is a sculler’s dream.
Miles of unobstructed rowing on a huge, sleepy lake
No wakes, no motorboats, no buoys and almost no boat traffic
40% larger than Boulder and Union Reservoirs and 25% larger than Cherry Creek Reservoir
Located in Westminster – less than 30 minutes from Boulder, Arvada and downtown Denver
Part of a nature preserve with birding, fishing, picnicking and camping
Views of the Foothills
Everyone’s Welcome
As the sole rowing club at Standley Lake, PEAK Rowing is open to masters, juniors, adaptive rowers and veterans.
Come Out & Play
PEAK Rowing welcomes everyone with an interest in gliding across the water, spending time in nature, and working and playing with others. Every athlete is unique, and we want to work with you to find the best way to get you into a boat and experiencing the joy of rowing.
We especially welcome veterans and those with disabilities. We can make modifications to equipment, coaching and program structure to accommodate veterans as well as people with physical and intellectual disabilities. As a USRowing Freedom Rows organization, we’re committed to making rowing accessible to all, regardless of ability.
Adaptive rowing is all about removing barriers to participation for anyone with an impairment or disability. Possible adaptations include:
More stable boats
Seating support
Fixed seats
Pontoon floats
Active hands gripping aids
Tactile markers on oar handles
Sliding boards and/or transfer boxes
Whether you’re an able-bodied athlete, adaptive athlete or a veteran, PEAK Rowing is ready to ease you into the thrill of rowing!
